Unfortunately in that year a party event Shoulders Nyale not coincide with Valentine's Day but the festive party continues with great fanfare.

Since in Jakarta we have designed a work schedule so that the arrival of the West Nusa Tenggara is not in vain. Script coverage, location, materials prepared documentation carefully so as soon as we arrived at the People's Party is dilaksanakan.Tim coverage can be assigned to cover the work must also make a reportage on the outside shooting script based on events on the spot outside the planned scenario.

It is the People's Party is a party Nyale shoulders of the people involved citizens who come from various areas, especially in Central Lombok regency until now still believe in the truth of the Legend of Princess Mandalika better known as Princess Nyale. Even the people the day before the party went on as if by magic party area where the party with the presence tiban markets where food and beverage vendors present at this location met buying or selling.

Of course you've never visited Lombok wondering what the hell was party Nyale Shoulders? Well well with reiki describe that party is the party's shoulders Nyale's annual progress from generation to generation from generation to generation of indigenous South Beach Lombok from east to west that is indigenous Blowam, Jerowaru, Awang, Terasak, Aan and Seger.

Actually what is it Nyale? Biologists call Nyale as a kind of sea worm (anelida polycaetae) or worm centipede anelida belonging to the nation but not the kind of anthropoda (beruas animals) which appears annually in South Beach this Lombok. Centipede worms are called according to the location of indigenous peoples live, for example, called Nyale Lombok, Sumbawa Nyale Turbans called Adam and Maluku in Ambon worm called worm rain because it is considered that the same fall from the sky rain.

In Lombok Nyale arrested on 20 months of the tenth and early Sasak marked by rising star Rowot (natural signs that are related to agriculture) in which the moon unity by Sasak tribe began on May 25 and the age of each month is calculated 30 days. Thousands of participants Nyale been prepared on the beach. They brought dustpan, and nets only a flashlight and accompanied petromak ready to throw themselves into shallow sea water that night was very cold. Maybe millions Nyale night came floating on the surface of the sea just a fish floating in shallow water. Without command and capture participants Nyale Nyale and enter into a container that had been prepared.

Nyale have arrested a white color, black, yellow, green and brown prasina. Nyale full color sign implying that the rice will flourish and the harvest will be abundant. Moreover Nyale night before the party arrived with heavy rain accompanied by bolt of lightning in the area Seger Beach.

According to a developing saga in Lombok society hereditary told that Nyale arrested that night is believed to be incarnation of the living Mandalika Princess hundreds of years ago. The princess chose plunged into the South Sea island of Lombok for the difficulty of choosing one of the three Princes who are eager to edit the Princess Mandalika.

Is the story of a kingdom once ruled by Seger Seger the wise king and the wise have named Lale empress Yellow Feather (Yellow Lining) and had a beautiful daughter. The king's daughter was given the nickname since childhood Beru Tunjung which means "newly emerged". As the age increases the beauty of the princess royal and the people charming Seger Kingdom. The daughter of the king's name eventually was changed to Princess Sarah Wulan which means princess who has a light loveliness.

Because beauty is the daughter of the king made a royal prince crown prince, and soon others lured to propose. The third son of the crown prince is Prince Rembitan Arya, Arya Bumbang and Prince of Johor. The third prince princess king proposed and the top side dish arrived dicinta third proposal was the crown prince was received by the King.

However, problems arise, if one accepted the prince's two other princes jealous that eventually will bring the civil war and caused many casualties of the people of this country. To avoid the tragedy of the bloody civil war due to the royal princess pondered for a while ask directions to the Almighty.

After receiving a dream wangsit The Princess finally plunged into the sea of South Beach on Lombok 20 months Sasak tenth year. Before you dive into the sea The first daughter announced this decision to the princes and people of the kingdom. Well since then the Princess Sarah Wulan newly named Princess Mandalika. Manda is confused or uncertain and Lika means the act.

Princess Mandalika eventually overwhelmed by doubts hereditary enshrined in the party of the people by the people Nyale South Beach Lombok, Central Lombok society exactly. They remember and celebrate all night party with a net Nyale and believe that this Nyale embodiment of the Princess Sarah Wulan.

Nyale events have now become an annual tourist icon NTB administration that can bring in foreign exchange because visitors not only from Lombok itself but also from other areas outside of NTB. Legend of Princess Princess Nyale Mandalika or memorable and celebrated every year especially the local government Lombok NTB Tengah.Tinggal just catch this opportunity and make an annual event to capture the visitors through the promotion both domestically or abroad via the internet, tourist brochures and national media publications and local.

What documentation Nyale penatnya night. Nothing feels dawn on the eastern horizon Seger Beach. Nyale Participants who have successfully captured Nyale disperse and return home each. A Sasak approaching a friend might ask, in the local language, " How are you?, How's your family?" simply as a form of greeting. Locals will frequently ask foreigners like this in English (it may be their only English!) as a greeting. Don't get annoyed - they are just trying to be polite. A smile and a "hello", or greeting in Indonesian, is a polite and adequate response.

Castes
Unlike the Muslims in general, the Sasak in Northern and west Lombok have a caste system. There are four caste castes, the highest being Datu for men and Denek Bini for women, the second Raden for men, and Denda for women, the third Buling and the fourth Jajar Karang. In Central and East Lombok, Lalu for men and Lale for women.

Traditional Culture
Traditional law (adat) is still fundamental to the way of life on Lombok today, particularly customs relating to courting and marriage rituals and circumcision ceremonies. In western Lombok you can see Balinese ceremonies and temples with colorful procession and decorative offerings. Sasak ceremonies are often less visible, though you may see colorful procession as well. Ask around and you can probably find when and where festivals and celebrations are being held.

Circumcision
The laws of Islam require that all boys be circumcised (Nyunatang), and in Indonesia this usually done somewhere between ages of 6 to 11 years old. Much pomp and circumstance mark this occasion on Lombok. The boys are carried through the village streets on painted wooden horses or lions with tails of palm fronds.

Marriage Rituals
Young couple in Lombok have a choice of three rituals; the first is an arranged marriage, the second a union between cousins, and the third elopement. The first two are uncomplicated: the parents of the prospective bridal couple meet to discuss the bride's dowry and sort out any religious differences. Having handled the business arrangements, the ceremony called "sorong serah" is performed.

The third method is far more complicated and dramatic. Theoretically a young girl is forbidden to marry a man of a lower caste, but this rule can be broken through kidnapping and eloping. As a result, eloping is still a widespread practice on Lombok, despite the fact that in most instances the parents of the couple know what's afoot.

Originally it was used as a means of eluding other competitors for the girl's hand or in order to avoid family friction, but it also minimized the heavy expenses of a wedding ceremony. The rules of this ritual are laid down and must be followed step by step. After the girl is spirited away by the boy, he required to report to the Kepala Desa (Chief of the Village). The Kepala Desa then notifies the girl's family through the head of their village. A delegation from the boy's family visits the girl's parent, and between them they settle on a price for the bride, a fine (uang adat) which is distributed among members of the bride's family in recompense for losing her.

Traditional dowries are worked out according to the caste differences; the lower his caste and the higher hers, the more he has to pay. Once this has been settled the wedding begins. Generally the bride and the groom dressed in ceremonial clothes, carried through the village's street, accompanied with sounds of traditional music (gamelan) mingle with the shouts and laughter of the guests as the couple are swooped up and down and around on their way to the wedding place. Throughout the whole ceremony, the bride must look downcast and unhappy at the prospect of leaving her family.

Travelers without a grasp of Bahasa can get by, but some knowledge of it enhances an understanding of the island and could also be valuable an an emergency. It was a horrible 2 years. Through the 2 years I had an ex who would always call and remind me how much he loved me and missed me. This was in between break ups and during his 3 year relationship. Now that we are both single things have started up between us. We never quit loving each other.

We have been seeing each other on the weekends. This past weekend I went to the beach with him and a group of our friends. After the bar I looked in his phone to find out why he had been on it so much, when everyone he talks to was with us. I found text messages to a girl he met in Las Vegas who lives in Chicago. The trip was before I started hanging out with my ex again, and they had been keeping in touch through phone since meeting in Vegas.

I brought the issue to his attention and explained how betrayed i felt that i was with him and he had been talking to her while there with me. Messages were like "i miss you" "can't wait to see you" etc. Of course he was mad that i looked in his phone but in the mist of the situation we were both crying and very hurt. I found out that she had booked a flight to come visit him at the end of this month, and he had booked one for August to Chicago. Both of these trips were planned and booked before i came into his life again and before things got serious between us again. Needless to say i left the very next morning and went home.

He left 2 hours after me and showed up at my house. Explaining how he will cancel his trip in August and how he wants me and only me that he has wanted me for 2 years. Only problem she is still coming this month to visit him and her bother who lives on a local military base. I told him i did not want her staying at his house that i thought she should get a hotel that i did not think it would be right for her to sleep in the same bed with him. He doesn't know how to handle the situation and i understand it is a hard one. But i also do not know how to handle the situation. We are not boyfriend and girlfriend, but we are not seeing others.

I know how i think he should handle the situation but i am waiting to see how he chooses to handle it that way i will know if i should stay or walk away. I was very happy that he came after me and drove to my house to prove that he did not want me walking out of his life again. However, i do not know how to handle this situation, he says he has no feelings for the Chicago girl and perhaps he had them before i came back into his life. Basically, how should i view this situation, how should i act and what should i say. Thanks for your time and help.

It seems you have done the right things so far.

He should tell the Chicago girl that she is out of his life now because he has found another girl (you.) She can spend her visit with her brother and they can have a fine time.

In no case should she sleep in his bed. That is unacceptable. As you said, you may be willing for him to see her if she stays in a hotel since the plans were already made. But that is your choice.

If you let him make his choice despite your disapproval then you are well advised to walk away if his choice shows poor judgement and lack of respect for you.

Mount Rinjani National Park

Rinjani forms the second highest volcanic peak in Indonesia, part of celebrated Ring of Fire”. The volcano, and its sacred, and spectacular Segara anak crater la

ke, are protected by a national park established in 1997. The 6 km by 8.5 km oval-shaped caldera is filled partially by a lake known as Segara Anak. Traveling in the group and share the fares will make it even much cheaper.

2. It could be pricy for a long distance journey.

3. Public Transportation

Take a minibus from the bus terminal (Mandalika) to Praya, then swift to bemo to Sengkol, then swift another bemo to Kuta. Prices are change every year especially the "Fuel Raise" in Indonesia also affect the land transportation fares. Tips: use your negotiation skills before entering the car, as if they see tourist, they charge double or even unrealistic fare.

4. Shuttle Bus

To eliminate hassle and bustle, shuttle bus could be one of a good option, eventhough travel time can be long because the bus will have many stop over dropping and picking up other passangers from their hub/offices in main tourist attraction like Senggigi or Bangsal Harbour.

THE GILI ISLANDS

Located just off the northwest coast of Lombok, the three islands of Gili Air, Gili Meno and Gili Trawangan are rapidly becoming one of the most popular destinations for visitors to Bali and Lombok. They are now easily accessible direct from Bali with the new Fast Boat service, or by plane and local boat from Lombok.

All three islands feature superb, white sandy beaches, crystal clear water, spectacular coral reefs, and the best snorkeling and diving to be found anywhere on Bali and Lombok. Visitors from all over the world are attracted to the simple pleasures of sun, snorkeling, diving, beautiful beaches, and socializing. The absence of cars, motorcycles, and hawkers adds greatly to the leisure of staying on the Gilis – although there is now a wide range of acc

ommodation available, the islands have maintained the lazy rustic charms of a tropical paradise.

Getting There

We highly recommend visitors to use a Private Transfer Service to avoid hussle and bustle at Bangsal (public harbour to gili islands). Local street vendors who try to sells things with pushing and pressure, or those who grab your luggage and ask too much for a porter service could be annoying. Paying a little extra for a comfort and easy settlement for a wonderful holiday break is worth it, especially those who travel with kids.

Private Transfer Service includes pick up, meeting and greeting service at the airport/seap

ort/hotel, land transportation with fully air-con deluxe coaches, private boat charter, and check in assistances at the hotel. To get around the isle, the only means of transport are Cidomos, horse drawn carriages. Bicycle rentals are available too. Expect higher prices for most things there since all food and goods must be brought over from the mainland.

ISLAND'S HOPPING

Traveling between the islands requires either catching the infrequent shuttle boats or chartering one to take you across. The distances between the islands may seem swimmable, but do not attempt it — the currents can be fierce and several backpackers have died trying.

The Natives & History

A few years ago, sailors from Bugis, Mandar and Makassar (Sulawesi) occupied Gili Air and establish coconuts plantation and expand the fishing activities.

As visitors started to visit Lombok and some came to the Gilis on day trips and then began to stay for longer periods in local homes. The islands have become enormously popular. Their popularity may be a problem, as numbers sometime exceed the available rooms and put pressure on the island environment, especially the supply of fresh water and the capacity of septic system to cope with waste and there is always pressure to build more and better facilities.

Big business interests are trying to cash in on the popularity of the Gilis and the local government is keen to promote upmarket tourist development.

Gili Air and Gili Meno retained much of their unspoilt quality, but Gili Trawangan has become more touristy and pricy. The islanders are majority Muslims and visitors should respect their sensibilities. In particular, topless or nude sunbathing is offensive to them, even though they won't say so directly. Away from Beach, it is polite for women to cover their shoulders and thighs. Many visitors are appallingly insensitive to local standards and so many of them walk around in skimpy clothing that it's easy to get impression that the local people don't mind anymore. In fact, they do.

SENGGIGI BEACH, LOMBOK INDONESIA

Senggigi is the most developed area for tourists on Lombok.
